photo courtesy of imdb.com George Clooney  is officially a daddy! The once lifelong bachelor and wife Amal  have welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander, yesterday morning. This is huge for Clooney, whom we never thought would get married again (he was briefly married once before) let alone have children but I guess good friends Brad Pitt, Matt Damon , and Rande Gerber have rubbed off on him. The Clooney's released a statement that said:  “This morning Amal and George welcomed  Ella  and  Alexander Clooney  into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine. George is sedated and should recover in a few days.” We are so excited for the couple and cannot wait to see what this dynamic duo has created! Congrats!

The opening was amazing; in my opinion, Justin Timberlake  killed it with "Can't Stop the Feeling" from "Trolls" and set the tone for what was to be a fun and exciting night. Kimmel also kept the running joke alive about a feud between he and Matt Damon , which only enhanced the evening. However, the night had some major issues and it totally dominated the event.  First off, like any good "In Memoriam," some were forgotten while others were actually killed off. A woman who works behind the scenes was put in the tribute video when in fact, she is actually alive and well. And we cannot forget how the night ended; definitely as exciting as it opened but in a different way. It's been an interesting year for Michael Douglas and Matt Damon after they made the Liberace-based film "Behind the Candelabra." Douglas won award after award for his portrayal of Liberace while Damon was constantly nominated (and lost) for playing lover, Scott Thorson. It seems like art is imitating life imitating life and art and stuff as Thorson is just as unlucky as Damon. The 54 year old was sentenced to 8-20 years in prison for failing a court-ordered drug test. Though he has admitted that he is an addict, the wannabe celebrity aka Jess Marlow was given a chance to clean up his act but sadly, he did not make it. He blamed his "fame" based on the movie for him becoming overwhelmed with life: "I'm just asking for another chance," he claimed and added that "he was dealing with his newfound celebrity status since Matt Damon played him in the HBO film."
