It is with great sadness that I must report that Amanda Peterson has passed away; she was forty-three. For a moment, you may be wondering who she is but you'll know...trust me. Think Patrick Dempsey, 1987 and white-fringed jacket... "Can't Buy Me Love." Though Peterson drifted away from the spotlight a few years after the film, she went on to get married and have two children while residing in Colorado. She also remained an eighties fashion icon because this was one of the IT movies for the time. Cause of death? Undetermined but her father spoke to TMZ and revealed that she had sleep apnea and records showed she had sinusitis and pneumonia. She had also lived in a mold-infested home but moved out around a year ago. Celebrities like Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lance Bass and Scott Foley tweeted their sadness. The movie will never be the same. Apparently, the cast was talking about reuniting for a photo shoot next month but that is hearsay for now. Our thoughts and prayers...
