3 Ice Cubes

For this installment of Song of the Week, I had to choose Beautiful War by the Kings of Leon, after seeing the newly released video for it. From their recent album Mechanical Bull,  this is a great song with understated guitar lines that cross and slowly build.

As I'm slowly working my way back to the current music scene for the Song of the Week , I came across this on my iTunes playlist and realized that there is a large audience out there who probably missed what is an absolutely amazing dance track.

For the official return of "The Song of the Week" I have decided to reach back into the archives and pull out a song that many of you may have missed. In the future, the Song of the Week will return to current music. For this one, however, I decided that this is such a great song that too many people blinked and missed. For those of you old enough to remember Silverchair and their very grunge debut Frogstomp , you will be surprised to hear the sound they have developed over the years. From 2007's Young Modern I present the art-rock masterpiece Straight Lines .
