Though it was originally presumed he was the only member of his family on the flight, we have since learned that was not the case. According to ESPN , Bryant's 13-year-old daughter, Gianna was aboard the helicopter with him and among the five killed. They were on their way to a travel game when the heli crashed in Calabasas, California earlier today. The NBA star, 41, has three other children as well as wife, Vanessa. The crash occurred in Calabasas, California after an apparent fire erupted in the heli. Five people are presumed deceased at this time including Bryant, 41. He leaves behind wife, Vanessa and children Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri, who were not believed to be on board. More details as they arise.
