In what is being deemed as a historic move, Democratic presidential nominee and former Vice President, Joe Biden has picked biracial California Senator, Kamala Harris , to be his running mate. Both Biden and Berni e Sanders , who was also running for president (for the second time) said they would definit ely choose a woman when the time came. Then, the Black Lives Matter movement occurred and it became glaringly obvious the woman had to be African-American to help bridge the divide as the United States was filled with so much hate, racism, antisemitism, and beyond. It was like being in a time warp. There were a handful of candidates such as Stacey Abrams and Val Demings but, in the end, Harris was the take charge kind of leader who could go head-to-head with the Republican Party and stand firm with Biden.
