'General Hospital' Shocks Fans With Steve Burton Return

Instagram Steve Burton is coming back to General Hospital after he was let go from the show in 2021. The show had a COVID vaccine mandate which both he and Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jax) did not comply with. Thus, they were axed . Of course, fans were heartbroken as he played the core role of Jason Morgan but they could soon see him on Days of Our Lives . He reprised a role he had played back in the eighties but his one-year contract that he signed with DOOL just came to an end. Fans commented on his farewell video that they hoped he would return to GH . Then, on Thursday, January 4th, the hit ABC soap celebrated 60 years. At the very end, Carly (Laura Wright) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) come through different doors. They noted that when one door closes, another opens. There was a door in the middle of them and suspenseful music playing but who would pop out? None other than Steve Burton in his classic leather jacket teasing big things ahead as he wished the show a happy 60th. It is officia...

'General Hospital' Loses Another Big Name

Credit: Steve Burton Instagram Another big cast member has left 'General Hospital' due to the COVID vaccine mandate. Steve Burton, who played Jason Morgan, revealed he was let go by the series. Earlier today, in an Instagram video , the actor shared he is no longer a part of the long-running soap. ABC, which is owned by The Walt Disney Co., has instituted a vaccine mandate for both salaried and non-union hourly employees, according to SoapHub .  In a statement from the company last summer, they had this to say: "At The Walt Disney Company, the safety and well-being of our employees during the pandemic has been and continues to be a top priority. Toward that end, and based on the latest recommendations of scientists, health officials and our own medical professionals that the COVID-19 vaccine provides the best protection against severe infection, we are requiring that all salaried and non-union hourly employees in the U.S. working at any of our sites be fully vacc...

'General Hospital' Mourns Passing of Main Cast Member!

Credit: pinterest It is a sad day for fans of 'General Hospital,' which just swept the Daytime Emmys. Longtime cast member, Stuart Damon has passed away. Damon played Alan Quartermaine for over thirty years on the hit soap opera, garnering an Emmy in 199. His character was killed off but he would still pop up, as many cast members do. He officially left in 2013. In 1965, Damon also played Prince Charming in the live-action version of 'Cinderella' alongside Lesley Ann Warren.  The actor had been suffering from renal failure and was 84 when he took his last breaths. He leaves behind his wife, Deirdre and their children, Jennifer and Christopher. Steve Burton , who played his son, Jason Morgan, posted a tribute on his Instagram . He referred to Damon as "kind, generous, selfless and just an awesome guy." This is definitely a big loss to anyone who grew up watching soaps. Our condolences to his family, friends, co-stars, and fans.

He may be someone new on "Young and the Restless" but to me, Steve Burton will forever be Jason Morgan from "General Hospital." In any case, the handsome soap star has welcomed another baby, a girl named Brooklyn Faith. He took to both Instagram and Twitter to share the first pics and she is already a beauty. Congratulations!

For fans of "General Hospital," we could not have been more excited when we found out that Kirsten Storms was involved with former co-star Brandon Barash . Then, they announced (via PEOPLE) that they were not only married but also expecting a baby girl together. This was HUGE news for Storms (Maxie), 29 after she had a rough battle with endometriosis. And now, after all this excitement and hoopla, baby girl Barash has made her appearance on Tuesday, the couple has confirmed.
