It is the year of the baby!! Coming on the heels of news Michelle Williams is both engaged and with-child, the very private Cameron Diaz has a New Years announcement of her own: she's a mommy! The actress, 47 and rocker hubby, Benji Madden, shared the shocking but happy news today via Instagram.

"Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden."

They went on to jokingly say it was RAD (a take on Raddix's initials) but did say they felt extremely protective during this time. Though Diaz had stepped away from acting to focus on being with Benji, 40 more, no one expected this. However, the new mom has made it clear she wanted to be a mom no matter how it happened. She is already aunt to Nicole Richie's children with Joel Madden, Benji's twin. We cannot wait to see the little beauty and are dying to hear so much more of this story. This really is a happy New Year for the couple, who wed four years ago!
