Duncan Sheik: Why His Death Is Crushing Millennials

YouTube Dolly Parton died, and the world was shocked. Tim Curry died; what is going on? Duncan Sheik passed, and this hit, but why? Most kids these days (do I sound like a grandparent?) have no clue who he is, yet when it came out that he had died at the age of 56, something felt so wrong. It felt off, and it hurt, like a piece of our youth was ripped away. This was different than Dolly and Tim, even Catherine O'Hara and Rob Reiner. Those were cruel, shocking, senseless, and unfathomable, not that Duncan's wasn't. This just hit, and I asked myself why. Why was I lingering in a place I had not been in a very long time?  YouTube I then watched the video for "Barely Breathing," and I was instantly transported back to my living room in 1996. I was 13, coming home from eighth grade, when life was easy, life was simple, and the only thing I had to worry about was getting my homework done in time to hop on my landline to call my best friends.
