'General Hospital' Shocks Fans With Steve Burton Return

Instagram

Steve Burton is coming back to General Hospital after he was let go from the show in 2021. The show had a COVID vaccine mandate which both he and Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jax) did not comply with. Thus, they were axed. Of course, fans were heartbroken as he played the core role of Jason Morgan but they could soon see him on Days of Our Lives. He reprised a role he had played back in the eighties but his one-year contract that he signed with DOOL just came to an end.

Fans commented on his farewell video that they hoped he would return to GH. Then, on Thursday, January 4th, the hit ABC soap celebrated 60 years. At the very end, Carly (Laura Wright) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) come through different doors. They noted that when one door closes, another opens. There was a door in the middle of them and suspenseful music playing but who would pop out? None other than Steve Burton in his classic leather jacket teasing big things ahead as he wished the show a happy 60th. It is official. He is returning and it is the perfect timing.

Welcome back, Steve. What a way to end the celebration! Are you excited to have him back? Let us know in the comments and watch GH Monday through Friday on ABC.

Fans (and haters) began to notice a lack of presence when it came to her husband, Corey and questioned if their marriage was okay. There is an abundance of photos of daughters, Skylar and
