As a writer, my opinion has been what has made me feel complete and creative. It has allowed me to express myself in an amazing forum that can let others in on the way I feel and I love that. But there are times when we can be wrong and I am going to be one of the first writers to admit that I am wrong.
When I scrutinized Miley Cyrus for her performance on the MTV VMA's, I was speaking out of my ass to be honest. I finally saw the uncensored version of Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and I do understand why Miley performed like she did. I think that had she been someone else such as P!nk or Christina Aguilera, the shock value would have been lowered. However, Miley was a pop princess and she gave the F$#k you to that crown when she danced in plastic with a foam hand. Her suggestive moves made us all think she was a skank and that Robin Thicke was appalled. The truth is...she was only emulating what was in the video. So to Miley Cyrus, I will not apologize for everything as I am sure you don't feel the need to apologize for everything you do. However, I will openly say I am very sorry for anything negative I may have said regarding your VMA performance. With love, Mandi
