Shirley Temple Has Passed Away!

It is a very sad day in Hollywood and for fans at home as we must report that Shirley Temple has passed away. The actress was 85.
Known as Shirley Temple Black behind the scenes, the icon died at her home in California. She has been ranked one of the top 50 screen legends by the American Film Institute and is the name of my favorite non-alcoholic beverage (I had two last week). She was the most adorable mop-topped, puckered face young actress to grace the screen. She spent her youth on "The Good Ship Lollipop" but retired at 21 when it seemed she had outgrown her cuteness. She had been married to Charlie Black for over fifty years and he predeceased her. Temple Black has won a few honorary Academy Awards and had exactly 56 pin curls in every film, according to her mother, who was very protective of her super popular daughter. She leaves behind three children, two from her marriage to black and a legacy that can never be ignored! She was also a breast cancer survivor so today, put a few animal crackers in your soup to honor this delight! We will miss you but you will never be forgotten.
