The missing Malaysian plane has been located but sadly, the end result is not a positive one. Though loved ones of the passengers had expressed that they did not believe that the plane ended in tragedy, we can now confirm that it in fact did. Najib Razak, the Prime Minister of Malaysia came out today with this about Flight 370:
"Using a type of analysis never before used in an investigation of this sort, [British analysts] have been able to shed more light on MH 370's flight path … its last position was in the middle of the Indian Ocean west of Perth. It is therefore with deep sadness and regret that I must inform you that according to this new data, flight MH 370 ended in the southern Indian Ocean." There will be another press conference tomorrow to give out even more details of what they know so far. As for the families who are in mourning? "Malaysian Airlines have already spoken to the families of the passengers and crew to inform them of this development. For them, the past few weeks have been heartbreaking. I know this news must be harder still." The wreckage was initially spotted by Chinese officials and then released images via satellite. Our thoughts and prayers are with the late passengers and all of their families! More info as it comes.
