It was a big weekend for former "Roseanne" star Sara Gilbert as she tied the knot. Gilbert, 39 and singer/songwriter Linda Perry wed yesterday, according to PEOPLE. The duo have been dating for nearly three years and became engaged a year ago; it was Perry, 48 who did the proposing.
Now a co-host on the CBS show "The Talk," Gilbert, sister of Melissa was very open about her impending marriage to Perry: "I happened to be talking about gay marriage and I thank you all for your support on that issue. That was before I had any idea about any of this. I'm super shy and don't usually want to tell anything. But I wanted you guys to know because I feel like you're a part of our family here." Gilbert was not on the show today for she was off on her honeymoon but co-host/friend Aisha Tyler had the wedding deets: "It was an amazing, amazing night. [It was] beautiful and it was at sunset and just overlooking the ocean. I mean we can't tell much about it because we want Sara to talk about it." So, when will we get to chat with Gilbert about it and see this amazing night? According to Julie Chen: "It was magical. It was the most beautiful ceremony ... When she returns on Monday, we're going to show you pictures from the wedding and talk about it." Congratulations all around. As you may recall, Gilbert dated Johnny Galecki as a teen and he was the one who actually helped her come out. She had a partner for a very long time, with whom she had two children. We wish them all the best!
