It is with great sadness but amazing praise that we announce the news that Hayden Panettiere has entered rehab to deal with her Postpartum Depression. The "Nashville" star welcomed daughter Kaya, who will be one in December with fiance Wladimir Klitschko, a professional boxer. Hayden, 26 admitted that she was struggling but took to social media on October 10th to share that she was feeling a lot better. Today, that took another turn as her rep told E! on the actress/singers behalf: "Hayden Panettiere is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression. She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time."
It was in September when Hayden shared her struggle on "Live! With Kelly and Michael," having this to say: "It's something a lot of women experience. When [you are told] about postpartum depression you think it's 'I feel negative feelings towards my child; I want to injure or hurt my child.' I've never, ever had those feelings.
"Some women do. But you don't realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It's something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they're not alone, and that it does heal." We wish her all the best on her journey and hope that she can get the help that she needs!
