Mandi's Movie Review: SING!

By Source, Fair use, https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?curid=48524093
How can it fail? "Sing" has an all-star cast, fun music and dancing/talking animals. This should be gold! Let's try bronze, if that. I feel really bad saying anything bad about this film as I saw the previews and thought "how cute is this?" But in reality, the previews were more than enough and probably had all the cuteness the movie needed.

PROS:

  • the pros! Reese Witherspoon was absolutely adorable and charming as a desperate housewife pig, just wanting to sing Katy Perry. Loved Rosita and she could should win something.
  • Scarlett Johansson as badass porcupine, Ash who gave us major girl power!
  • Tori Kelly's Meena was the cutest elephant and definitely our inner #spiritanimal when we feel down about ourselves. Kelly deserved so much more praise as she was incredible. Incredible!
  • Gunter played by Nick Kroll had all the pig moves to accompany Rosita and was adorbs.
  • Johnny the ape played by Taron Egerton was for sure a stand-out when he chose an Elton John song to bring the house down.
CONS:
  • John C. Reilly was underused.
  • Matthew McConaughey as a desperate koala? Yeah, no.
  • MORE NANA NOODLEMAN played by Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Saunders.
  • Too long at almost two hours! TWO HOURS! That's one hour shorter than "Titanic."
It was a waste of Oscar talent. Maybe if it had been a half hour shorter, it would have been a lot more noteworthy but I just was intro feeling it. I apologize if you and/or your kids loved it but I was not a fan. Next time...But, I do see some sort of Oscar gold coming to the film as it has what voters look for!

A 'Jerseylicious' Split!

photo courtesy of imdb.com When you were on a semi-successful reality show, especially as one of the key players, and everyone watched your love story unfold, it only makes sense they will want to keep following you after the series has ended. Such has been the case for 'Jerseylicious' star, Tracy DiMarco , who always went head-to-head with Olivia Blois-Sharpe on the show based around the never-ending drama at the Jersey salon, The Gatsby. Eventually, DiMarco got her happily ever after when she married Corey Epstein in her dream wedding. She continued to pursue her passion, have three kids, develop a wildly successful podcast, and work on clothing and accessories.  But, when you are in the public eye, boasting 541K followers on Instagram , almost everything you do is up for scrutiny. Fans (and haters) began to notice a lack of presence when it came to her husband, Corey and questioned if their marriage was okay. There is an abundance of photos of daughters, Skylar and

'The Real L Word' Cast- Where Are They Now?

photo courtesy of amazon.com With the return of the hit Showtime series, 'The L Word,' it makes fans of the original show and ultimate reality spinoff, 'The Real L Word,' quite nostalgic. Actors can keep acting but reality stars can drift off into the clouds after their 15 minutes of fame are over. TRLW lasted three seasons with a revolving door of lesbians who soon became like friends and family. Initially based in California, the show followed the lives of a handful of gay women, somehow intertwined in life, and what it was like to date, fall in love, have sex, try to make babies, propose, be successful, and so much more. By the final season, the series went bi-coastal, utilizing NYC as a playground, as well. The show ended in 2012 with two weddings and a lot of tears. So, where are they now? Get ready to catch up with our fave reality celesbians! - Whitney Mixter : the player of the series, she may have hooked up with almost every member of the cast. But,
