The Cause of Alan Thicke's Death Revealed; Celebs Attend Memorial!

We shared a lot of "laughter and love" with Alan Thicke, one of television's favorite fathers during the eighties and early nineties. But when he tragically passed away at the age of 69 while playing hockey with his youngest son, everyone was shocked and stunned. It was presumed that the cause of death was a heart attack but now it has been confirmed that Thicke died of a ruptured aorta. He leaves behind his wife, Tanya along with three sons: Brennan, 41 and musician Robin, 39 with first wife, Gloria Loring and Carter, 19 with second wife, Gina Tolleson. He had no kids with third wife, Tanya but he had many celebrity friends that honored the late star at his memorial.

They included Leonardo DiCaprio, who starred with Thicke on "Growing Pains" as well as the rest of the cast of the hit family comedy. Bob Saget, Alex Trebek, and Bill Maher also were in attendance and Robin Thicke's ex-wife, actress Paula Patton sent out a tribute to her late former father-in-law. This has hit Hollywood and fans of the actor very hard as we have lost so many great people this year. We hope that he is mentoring up in heaven! Gone way too soon!
