Whatever Happened to the Cast of Hey Dude?

There are so many reboots of our favorite television show that is got us thinking: whatever happened to the cast of 'Hey Dude' on Nickelodeon? It seemed to run forever but this could just be because we were so young and time stood still. In reality, the series went from July 1989 to August 1990, aired for five seasons with 65 episodes so for two years, that is actually a lot to be proud of. Being such a fun series for kids, tweens, and teens, we decided to do some digging to see what the cast has been up to and here is what we found out!

-Mr. Ernst (David Brisbin): without Ernst, there would have been no ranch thus no show but what happened to the actor who portrayed him? David Brisbin has made guest appearances on hit shows such as the now-defunct 'Brothers and Sisters' and 'Desperate Housewives' so clearly, he is still going strong.
-Lucy (Debra Kalman): every ranch needs a handy dandy ranch hand and this is exactly what Lucy was. She also helped keep the kids in check. So, what's keeping Debra in check nowadays? She has stepped out of the spotlight, unless it involves reuniting with her former cast mates and has chosen to teach instead. Good for her!
-Melody (Christine Taylor): Melody was a jack of all trades, as both the lifeguard and dance teacher but, in real life, Taylor would go on to find immense success in Hollywood. She played Marcia Brady in 'The Brady Bunch Movie' and its sequel, Holly in 'The Wedding Singer' opposite Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, and many more films. She went onto marry funnyman, Ben Stiller with whom she had two children with and has another film coming out this year. Go Melody!
-Ted (David Lascher): part of the senior staff and definite stud, Ted was a troublemaker for sure. But, David Lascher had no trouble securing jobs post-HD. He went on to play Vinnie for two seasons on 'Blossom' and Josh for three seasons on 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch.' His latest appearance was on 'Melissa and Joey' in 2014 but he has been married for 20 years with three children so more power to him.
-Danny (Joe Torres): despite a reunion with the cast just a few short years ago, no one had much information on Joe Torres as he seemingly drifted off into obscurity. But, there is internet confirmation that he is alive and doing just fine so at least we have that to fall back on.
-Brad (Kelly Brown): a girl named Brad always struck me but hey, it's cool. She was a queen when it came to horse riding and obviously a key riding instructor. So, what did she dominate at post-cancellation? According to HuffPost Live, Kelly married her high school sweetheart and owns her own businesses. You go, girl.

So, this should clear up some of the mystery for your core faves from 'Hey Dude' and let's be real; we would so be down for them to come back to Bar None Dude Ranch for a six-episode stint for some flashbacks! Come on! Anyone else??

A 'Jerseylicious' Split!

photo courtesy of imdb.com When you were on a semi-successful reality show, especially as one of the key players, and everyone watched your love story unfold, it only makes sense they will want to keep following you after the series has ended. Such has been the case for 'Jerseylicious' star, Tracy DiMarco , who always went head-to-head with Olivia Blois-Sharpe on the show based around the never-ending drama at the Jersey salon, The Gatsby. Eventually, DiMarco got her happily ever after when she married Corey Epstein in her dream wedding. She continued to pursue her passion, have three kids, develop a wildly successful podcast, and work on clothing and accessories.  But, when you are in the public eye, boasting 541K followers on Instagram , almost everything you do is up for scrutiny. Fans (and haters) began to notice a lack of presence when it came to her husband, Corey and questioned if their marriage was okay. There is an abundance of photos of daughters, Skylar and

By the final season, the series went bi-coastal, utilizing NYC as a playground, as well. The show ended in 2012 with two weddings and a lot of tears. So, where are they now?
