Just when it looked like former WWE Diva, Nikki Bella, 36 had gotten her happily ever after, it just keeps getting better. After the first of the year, the entrepreneur revealed she and boyfriend, Artem Chigvintsev, had gotten engaged in Paris back in November but saved the big news for the New Year. It was a beautiful sparkler and happy ending for a story that begun when the duo was paired up on season 25 of 'Dancing With the Stars.' At the time, Bella was with John Cena, but there were definitely sparks and the two reconnected after Bella and Cena called off their engagement.
Artem fit in perfectly with the Bella family so the proposal was a great start to a new adventure, especially since the twins had since retired from the ring. With a new ring in tow, there were new memories to be made and it seems the stars have aligned perfectly for Nikki and twin, Brie. In the latest issue of People Magazine, the dynamic duo reveal they are not just expecting babies (Nikki's first, Brie's second) but within two weeks of each other. Nikki had a hard time when engaged to John Cena as he was not a fan of the idea of being a dad but did concede when he realized how important it was to his lady. The match did fizzle and now she is pregnant and in complete shock.
"(It was) a total surprise. It took even me a good week to come to terms with like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm pregnant.' I'm not ready for it." She went on to say, "It's something I've dreamed of my whole life. So when I thought it was going to be taken, for me, it was really difficult. I was just like, gosh, I can't imagine life without being a mom and experiencing the miracle of life and raising a child. I'm just so family-oriented that I couldn't imagine not having that family life."
As for twin, Brie who is married to wrestler, Daniel Bryan, she had resigned herself to being a mom to one, toddler, Birdie, after spending 3/4ths of a year trying to get pregnant with no success. She started to get symptoms of pregnancy while in France meeting Artem's family but it was not until she returned home for the Thanksgiving holiday when she took the official test that confirmed Birdie was to be a big sister. Nikki was not feeling great but believed she was experiencing sympathy pains for Brie. And now, here they are, expecting. As for the sexes of the babies- this should be interesting. And the fact that they have yet to have twins. We are still waiting. We should hopefully see this plot twist unravel on the upcoming season of 'Total Bellas' returning to E! in the spring! This explains why Nikki's engagement ring is in the process of being resized and such!
