Naya Rivera Confirmed Dead!

It is with great sadness that we must share Naya Rivera has been confirmed dead today, July 13, 2020. Her Wikipedia profile was updated earlier to reflect her date of death to July 8th, 2020 and it most likely is because a body had been found at Lake Piru this morning. It was presumed to be that of 'Glee' actress Rivera, 33, who went missing July 8th after a rented pontoon boat was found floating on the lake with her four-year-old son, Josey aboard and asleep. He told authorities he and his mom went swimming but his mother never returned to the boat. Josey was found wearing a life jacket but an adult life jacket was still on board.

Former cast mates, such as Heather Morris, were still holding out hope, even asking how they could get involved with the rescue/recovery mission. Today, some of the cast, along with Rivera's family, gathered at the lake to bond and pray. Interestingly enough, today is the seventh anniversary of 'Glee' co-star, Cory Monteith's tragic passing. And now it is officially the day Rivera joins the angels, as Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub shared in a press conference: "We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera." He also said it doesn't appear to be a suicide and the other day, foul play was ruled out. Dental records will give the final confirmation.

Though this is not the news anyone wanted, there was a point where it was speculated Naya may never be found because of the lake's conditions so this can allow for the family to have some resolution and grieve properly. Our thoughts and prayers are with the friends and family of Naya and a reminder to always take the proper safety precautions when on the water.

Such has been the case for 'Jerseylicious' star, Tracy DiMarco , who always went head-to-head with Olivia Blois-Sharpe on the show based around the never-ending drama at the Jersey salon, The Gatsby.
