An Evening With Damiano David- 'The Calm After The Storm'
Damiano David. This name may not initially ring a bell but the band Måneskin might. They are an Italian rock band with hits such as "I Wanna Be Your Slave" and the cover of "Beggin.'" The band has amassed a global following so when Damiano teased a solo release, fans were fearfulMåneskin was breaking up. To be fair, they are all in their early to mid-twenties. Therefore, this is the perfect time to branch out and explore new avenues of creativity.
Damiano has done just that, first physically by ditching his androgynous glam for a more dapper and sharp-dressed style. Then, he released his first single, "Silverlines"and solidified his place as a lyrical gem. Damiano David always was a performer but wow, can this man sing. He followed it up with "Born With A Broken Heart" and that was enough to make fans want a full-length album ASAP.
Thankfully, Arista Records knew that they had to size out Damiano's audience, see who he appealed to and what the demand was. Therefore, they held a special showcase at New York City's Le Poisson Rouge (LPR) on Monday, October 28th, 2024. First off, this was the perfect venue for Damiano as it was sexy and chic just like him. The atmosphere was red and black, sultry and sexy, the bartenders could not have been nicer, and the gender-neutral restrooms were chef's kiss because when we come together for music, we are one.
Damiano David ran onto that stage and the audience could not have been more receptive. He was having an absolute blast but continued to prove he has impeccable vocal skills but is above all, a showman. Damiano did just five songs with his sensational backing band, his two singles and three set for release in 2025. Within a half hour (and a Dove Cameron appearance), he was gone and the night was over. The crowd was chattering, in love with what they heard, wanting more, ready to see him repeatedly which is a clear testimonial to Damiano and what he brings to the table.
Having been to several private shows and celebrity luncheons, this showcase was one of the best. However, there is some slight criticism but not of the venue or artist. I, in no way, have any idea how long this took to put together. It may have been a last-minute performance or it could have been planned for weeks but here's the thing. Those who worked for Arista were salivating over what Damiano brought and the crowd's reaction, it was evident by looking around. Yet, one of the "employees" was in earshot and could be heard telling Damiano, living his dream, to "wrap it up" after the fourth song. There are other ways, signals, earpieces, etc., to get the point across. These moments are not necessary for the audience to hear and, in fact, it is quite tacky.
Finally, Arista may not have heard this but the fans were calling out for one more song. Again, I have no idea how long LPR was reserved for on Monday but having Damiano come out for one or two more songs, possibly those that helped launch his career, may have been a sweet touch. Aside from that, Damiano David is one to watch. His two singles are available to download on all major platforms so do yourself a favor and check them out. Also, hit up LPR if you are ever in the city.
YouTube When you were on a semi-successful reality show, especially as one of the key players, and everyone watched your love story unfold, it only makes sense they will want to keep following you after the series has ended. Such has been the case for 'Jerseylicious' star, Tracy DiMarco , who always went head-to-head with Olivia Blois-Sharpe on the show based around the never-ending drama at the Jersey salon, The Gatsby. Eventually, DiMarco got her happily ever after when she married Corey Epstein in her dream wedding. She continued to pursue her passion, have three kids, develop a wildly successful podcast, and work on clothing and accessories. But, when you are in the public eye, boasting 541K followers on Instagram , almost everything you do is up for scrutiny. Fans (and haters) began to notice a lack of presence when it came to her husband, Corey, and questioned if their marriage was okay. There is an abundance of photos of daughters, Skylar and Jayden as well as son,

Initially based in California, the show followed the lives of a handful of gay women, somehow intertwined in life, and what it was like to date, fall in love, have sex, try to make babies, propose, be successful, and so much more. By the final season, the series went bi-coastal, utilizing NYC as a playground, as well. The show ended in 2012 with two weddings and a lot of tears. So, where are they now?
