As if the past two years have not been hard enough for everyone, they just got tougher for actress, Christina Applegate. The 49-year-old revealed she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis a short time ago. She shared this news via Twitter last night, saying: “It’s been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It’s been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going.”
The former 'Married...With Children' star has been supported by friend, Selma Blair who has been very public about her battle with MS. This is not the first health battle Applegate has gone through. In 2008, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She underwent a double mastectomy to ensure the cancer was free from her body. Luckily, it worked but this was an inherited gene (BRCA) as her mother is a breast cancer survivor.
Applegate also has the support of her husband, Martyn LeNoble and their daughter, Sadie as well as a bevy of fans. She has asked for privacy as she navigates these rough waters. Applegate is currently a fan favorite on the Netflix series, 'Dead to Me.' We wish her all the best during this challenging time.
